Reduction in water and heat loss
Swimming pools lose their heat during the night by radiation. During the day evaporation, further enhanced by wind, causes cooling off of the water. POOLSAFE covers counter these effects by virtually eliminating evaporation as well as providing an insulated cover.
LESS WATER MAINTENANCE
Algae growth requires sunlight which is blocked out by the POOLSAFE cover. This means that fewer chemicals are required to keep the water crystal-clear.
Reduction in indoor humidity
Indoor pools create a lot of humidity which requires the use of costly de-humidifiers. These are made redundant by POOLSAFE covers.
Options
OPTION 1 ABOVE GROUND INSTALLATION
This option is generally used for existing pools. The shaft onto which the cover is rolled is mounted above the ground on one of the sides of the pool. For this type of installation a less costly manual operated alternative is available.
OPTION 2 BUILT IN INSTALLATION
This form of installation requires for the swimming pool to be designed with the pool cover in mind. The cover rolls up onto a shaft which is positioned under the water. The coil is thus concealed.
How It Works
OPERATION
POOLSAFE automated covers can be activated by means of a timer, remote control or one or more fixed switches. Due to the vicinity of water, the motor used for turning the shaft is a 24V motor attached to a sealed transmission reducing the revolving speed to 4 r/min.
MATERIALS
The slats making up the cover are made from UV-stabilized PVC. Each slat has three chambers which are sealed off to be absolutely airtight. This gives the cover its buoyancy which can support the weight of a child. All shafts, spindles, bearing brackets etc. are made of high grade stainless steel to avoid any corrosion.
